CONSTITUTION:A power source has a rectifier, a smoothing circuit 4 and an inverter 5. The smoothing circuit 4 is formed of an inductance element 42, a smoothing capacitor 41 and a switch element 50 of an inverter 5, the output of a rectifier 30 is applied through the element 42 to the element 50 of the inverter 5, the capacitor 41 is charged, when the element 50 is OFF, by the electromagnetic energy stored in the element 42 when the element 50 is ON, and the voltage of the both terminals is applied to the inverter 5.
