Abstract

PURPOSE:To form easily and in a short time the three-dimensional composite image of an actual object and a virtual object on a hologram by using an optical means for Fourier-converting a picture. CONSTITUTION:The optical means for Fourier-transform a picture is constituted of a lens 5, a space modulating element 6, a lens 7 and a convex lens 8. A plane picture 4 and a hologram 3 are provided before and behind this optial means, respectively. In this state, when laser light 9 is irradiated to the plane picture 4, an image on the plane picture 4 is Fourier-transformed by the optical means. This Fourier-transformed picture becomes an interference image by a reference signal 12, and it is image formed on the hologram 3. In this way, the three- dimensional composite image of an actual object and a virtual object can be formed easily and in a short time on the hologram.
