Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce thermal stress and simplify the structure of a high temperature side forming member of an engine by heating working gas while providing a mixing plate in the vicinity of a cylinder outer wall for mixing the combustion gas. CONSTITUTION:A first cylindrical cylinder 1 made of heat resistant metal and closed in its one end and a second cylinder 5 made of copper and aluminium series metal having a good thermal conductivity are connected via a sealing device 4 and a movable flange 2 such as an O ring. A first piston 7 is disposed in both the cylinders to provide a high-temperature operation space 22 and a low temperature operation space 23, while a second piston 18 takes out power. A mixing plate 26 for mixing and distributing a heating medium from a heating device 25 is provided in the vicinity of an outer wall head part of the first cylinder 1, a degree of opening of an air intake hole 29 is selected without directly exposing the head of the first cylinder 1 to the heating medium to make wall temperature uniform.
