Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the number of parts and to reduce manufacture cost by using a laser beam for fixing an unfixed toner image, and also using the laser beam for perforating a form. CONSTITUTION:When the front edge of the form 18 is detected while conveyed beyond the transfer point of a photosensitive body after a toner image on the surface of the photosensitive body 11 is transferred, a controller 15 sends the command of oscillation in continuous oscillation mode to a laser light source 16 by the detection signal. The laser beam emitted from the laser light source 16 under the command illuminates the form 18 through a polygon mirror 14 to fix the toner image. When fixation of specific area is completed, the oscillation mode of the laser light source 16 is changed to an intermittent oscillation mode by a changeover command programmed in the controller 15 to perforate the form 18 at desired positions.
