Abstract

PURPOSE:To copy an original of large size with a small-sized copying machine by clamping a contact reflection exposure type photosensitive body between a photosensitive body supporting member and an original feed roller, and moving and exposing the photosensitive body synchronously with the feed of an original. CONSTITUTION:The original feed roller 13 is provided facing the photosensitive body supporting member 3 in a housing 1 and the filmy photosensitive body 7 capable of contact reflection exposure and a film 10 for insulating are wound in contact between the member 3 and roller 13. When the original 2 is caught by the roller 13, the photosensitive body 7 and film 10 are conveyed synchronously through specific perforations while syncrhonizing with the speed of the original 2; and the contact reflection exposure is performed by the light source 5 of an exposure part 4 to form an electrostatic latent image on the photosensitive body 7, and the photosensitive body is teken on around a roll 9 through a development part 8 and a transfer paper 21. Thus, the small-sized device copies originals of large size.

An opening that opens in the width direction of the original 2 and serves as an exposure area is formed in the center of the flat upper surface of the housing l, and a cylinder made of transparent plastic or the like is formed so that its top slightly protrudes into this opening. A shaped photoreceptor support member 3 is supported at both ends by the housing 1 so as to be rotatable or non-rotatable. When this photoreceptor support member 3 is in a fixed state,
It is sufficient that at least a portion wider than the opening, which is the exposure area, is transparent, and it may be arcuate instead of cylindrical. A light source 5 serving as an exposure section 4 is installed inside the photoreceptor support member 3, and is protected by a light shielding ring 6 so as to irradiate only the opening.

A photoreceptor 7 in the form of a film that is movable and capable of close reflection exposure is wound up tightly, and both ends are attached to rollers 8 and 9, respectively, so that it can be wound up and rewound. The photoreceptor 7 that can be exposed to close reflection exposure is, for example, a light-transmitting part and a light-shielding part formed on a flexible transparent support such as a plastic film, as described in JP-A-52-78443. A reticular opaque layer, a transparent conductive layer, and a transparent photoconductive layer that can substantially transmit light irradiated from the flexible transparent support side can be used. A photoreceptor that can obtain a sufficiently large contrast with reflective exposure can be used (JP-A-57-109953, JP-A-57-109954, etc.).

Further, the photoreceptor 7 is placed on the upper surface of the photoreceptor 7 in the exposure area of the exposure section 4.
An insulating film 10 made of transparent plastic or the like for protection and insulation is tightly wound around the film, and both ends are attached to rollers 11 and 12, respectively, so that it can be wound up and unwound. And these photoreceptors 7
In order to enable the insulating film 10 to be fed synchronously with the original 2, perforations with equal pitches are provided in the longitudinal direction of both edges of each film. On the other hand, manuscript 2,
In particular, a document feed roller 13 that feeds a long document and brings the photoconductor 7, insulating film 10, and document 2 into close contact with each other in the exposure area for close reflection exposure can be rotated by the housing 1 facing the photoconductor support member 3. It is attached to and biased in the direction of close contact by a biasing means (not shown). The document feed roller 13 is provided with a sprocket that engages with perforations formed in the photoconductor 7 and the insulating film 10, and feeds the photoconductor 7 and the insulating film 10 in synchronization with the document 2. Further, in the upper part of the housing 1, document guides 14 are provided at predetermined intervals along the outer periphery of the document feed roller 13 in order to return the sent document 2 to the entrance side.
A guide plate 1 is installed to prevent the person from entering the entrance again.

Next, to briefly explain each part necessary for electrophotographic copying, a charging section 17 is installed so as to face the photoconductor 7 between the mass roller 8 and the exposure section 4, and the charging section 17 is installed to face the photoconductor 7, for example. , a charger using a known method such as a corona charging method, a frictional charging method, or an electrode contact voltage application method. In addition, the exposure section 4
A developing section 18 is installed facing the photoconductor 7 on the leading end side in the feeding direction, and develops the electrostatic latent image formed on the surface of the photoconductor 7 with toner. Using a known method such as a two-component magnetic brush development method or a liquid development method, the photoreceptor 7 held at a position one foot from the guide roller 19 is developed using a developing device of any of the methods.

Further on the leading end side of this developing section 18, a transfer section 21 that transfers images onto a transfer medium 20 is installed facing a guide roller 22 that guides the photoreceptor 7. A toner image is transferred onto a transfer medium 20 by a transfer device according to the method described in the above. The photoreceptor 7 after transfer is wound up by a roller 9, but a known cleaner section 23 is installed to remove residual toner before this winding.

Further, the transfer medium 20 is wound into a coil shape, and is sent to the transfer section 21 via a feed roller 24 and a cutter 25, and then sent to the fixing section 26 and sent out of the housing 1. The fixing unit 26 fixes the toner image transferred to the transfer medium 20, and fixes the toner image at a constant N using a fixing device using a known method such as a heat fixing method or a pressure fixing method.

In the wide-width electrophotographic copying machine configured as described above, when the copying switch (not shown) is turned on and the original 2 is inserted into the original feeding port 16, this is detected and the original feeding roller 13 is rotationally driven by a motor (not shown). At the same time, a voltage is applied to the charging unit 17 to charge the photoreceptor 70 with corona and send it together with the insulating film 10. Then, the document 2 is held between the document feed roller 13 and the photoreceptor support member 3.
, the insulating film 10 and the photoreceptor 7 are brought into close contact with each other, and the light source 5 of the exposure section 4 in the photoreceptor support member 3 performs close reflection exposure to form an electrostatic latent image on the photoreceptor 7.

The photoreceptor 7, on which electrostatic latent images are continuously formed while the original 2 is being fed, is sent to the developing section 18Vc, where a toner image is formed by, for example, magnetic brush development, and then sent to the transfer section 21. In the transfer section 21 , the toner image on the photoreceptor 7 is transferred onto a transfer medium 20 sent out by a feed roller 24 , and the transfer medium 20 is sent out of the housing 1 via a fixing section 26 . On the other hand, the photoreceptor 7 after the transfer is sent to a cleaner section 23, residual toner powder is removed, and the photoreceptor 7 is wound onto a roll 9.

Incidentally, when the continuous copying is completed, this is detected and the insulating film 10 and the photoreceptor 7 are rewound or left as they are. Furthermore, if the insulating film 10 and the photoreceptor 7 are damaged or a certain number of copies have been made, they may be rolled up and a new portion made available for copying.
