Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent dew condensation in a leakage detection groove and to detect only leaking water of a lined vessel securely and easily by circulating dry air in the leakage detection groove. CONSTITUTION:The leakage detection groove 4 is formed vertically in the weld zone 3 of the lined vessel embedded in concrete 1 by joining a channel member 4A, an air compressor 11 is provided to the intake part of an air intake pipe 10 through an air drier 12, and a differential pressure gauge 14 is provided between a leakage detection pipe 13 and the air intake pipe 10. If leakage occurs to the lined vessel 2, leaking water stays in the leakage detection pipe 13 and pressure variation appears at the differential pressure gauge 14, so that the leakage is detected. The dry air is supplied all the time, so dew condensation in the leakage detection groove 4 is prevented and the possibility of erroneous detection based upon dew condensation is eliminated.
