PURPOSE: To separate gas by a hollow yarn type module, improved in separating efficiency, while keeping a supply energy of mixed gas in a low level, by regulating the ratio of a pressure at a raw gas introducing part and a pressure at a gas outflowing part in the inside of a hollow-yarn-shaped high-molecular membrane, and specifying the ratio of flow rates of an inflowing raw gas and an outflowing permeated gas.
CONSTITUTION: In separating gas such as air by said hollow yarn type gas separation module, the module is set to the following conditions. That is, an extent of 0.7W2m the hollow yarn length (l) is used from a stand-point of the lowering of yield especially at a dense-flow structural part. And a ratio of the raw gas and the permeated gas, that is the ratio of a pressure P1 at the raw gas inflowing part and a pressure P2 at the outflowing part in the hollow yarn is made to be P1/P2≤1.2. Further, when a volume fraction of the object component of inflowing raw gas and that of the object component of outflowing permeated gas are respectively put, (y), and (x), the gas separation is performed under the following condition, V1/V2: (2x/yW10x/y), where, V1: a flow rate of inflowing raw gas, V2: a flow rate of outflowing permeated gas.
