Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase the fixing force between a shaftlike member and an annular member by the shrinking force of the shaftlike member in a structural body fixed with the annular member to the shaftlike member, by embedding the flange part provided to the annular member by casting thereby forming both members into one body. CONSTITUTION:An annular member 13 is fitted to the fitting part 14b of a casting mold 14 with both flange parts 13a, 13b of the member 13 positioned in a casting space 14a. Molten metal is cast into the space 14a and is solidified, whereafter the casting is released from the mold. Since the solidification shrinkage rate of the molten metal cast in the space 14a is fairly larger than the rate of deformation with a decrease in the temp. of the member 13, a clearance is formed between the inside peripheral surface of the member 13 and the member 12. At the same time, the shrinking force during solidification shrinkage is exerted on both flange parts 13a, 13b, and the fixing between the member 12 and the member 13 is strengthened by such shrinking force.
