DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a method for producing reinforced urethane foam, which utilizes the fact that chips of a laminated material partially attached with urethane foam are compatible with newly foamed urethane stock solution. The idea is to mix chips into the foam and harden it to create a relatively strong urethane foam.

Although it is flexible due to its nature and has good cushioning properties, it has the disadvantage of being weak and deforming too much. For example, when it is used as a cushioning material for packaging, or when the contents are lightweight items such as precision equipment or electronic parts. However, it was not suitable for heavy objects such as heavy machinery. Therefore, according to the present invention, it is possible to provide a reinforced urethane foam that can correct the above-mentioned urethane foam's weak stiffness and excessive deformation. Chips made of a laminated material made by laminating foam made of a polymer or a blend of this and other thermoplastic resins are mixed into a urethane foam stock solution and solidified to form a urethane foam containing chips. It is a feature.

The shape of the chip made of the above laminated material is as follows:
In addition to the rectangular amorphous pieces as shown in the figure, pieces of various shapes can be used, such as those obtained by cutting string-like strips finely cut in a shredder into appropriate pieces as shown in Fig. 5.

These chips can be formed by cutting directly from the original laminated material, but since the laminated material is also used as a material for manufacturing automobile ceiling materials, etc., when manufacturing these ceiling materials, etc. It would be economical and very convenient to provide chips by cutting or punching scrap material into various shapes using scrap material generated as molding trimming loss. In this invention, the above-mentioned chips a or chips a', l are mixed into the urethane foam stock solution as an extender or reinforcing material, and while being mixed in the stock solution, the urethane foam stock solution is foamed and solidified to encapsulate the chips a, etc. Urethane foam b

According to the above invention, since the urethane foam is partially attached to the structure of the chip, the compatibility with the urethane of the foaming stock solution is good, the degree of bonding is high, and the integrity of the chip and the urethane foam containing it is good. You can get enhanced ones.

Moreover, since the chips produced according to the present invention have at least a foam made of a styrene-maleic anhydride copolymer or a blend of this and other thermoplastic resins, its rigidity provides a good body effect and compressive strength. This makes it possible to correct the weak stiffness and large degree of deformation characteristic of urethane foam, and to improve the heat insulation effect due to its heat resistance. Therefore, it is a manufacturing method that can easily provide a relatively strong urethane foam, and can provide a reinforced urethane foam that can be used in a wide range of applications such as cushioning materials, packaging cushioning materials, and heat insulation materials. An example of the implementation of the present invention for producing a reinforced urethane foam is as follows.
