Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for another file device, by providing an optical recording part where data is written and read by the laser light and a magnetic storing part where the data is written and read by means of a magnetic material and storing the attribute information to the magnetic storing part. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic storing part MM and an optical storing part ML are provided on an optical disk plate 1. Data is recorded and reproduced at the part ML by means of the laser light. While the data is recorded and reproduced by a magnetic head 3 at the part MM. The attribute of the data stored at the part ML is written in the part MM for control of the part ML. As a result, the access time is improved, and the replacement of data is facilitated.
