Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of a facsimile composite device by using only an RS232C interface to connect a personal computer and a facsimile and therefore attaining additional functions such as a multiple address communication control, etc. while maintaining the functions of existing personal computer and facsimile. CONSTITUTION:A facsimile device 1 is provided with a facsimile CPU 3, a facsimile line control part 4, a facsimile level converter 5 and a facsimile main memory 6. The converter 5 is connected to an RS232C interface 13, and a personal (PC) level converter 7 of a PC 2 is connected to the interface 13. A PC circuit control part 8 is connected to the converter 7. Then a PC main memory 9, a PC floppy disk device 10, a CPU 11 of PC and a DMA 12 are connected to the part 8. Thus the functions such as the multiple address communication control, etc. are attained while maintaining the functions of existing PC and facsimile.
