この発明は、ビデオ磁気ヘッド等のように磁気記録媒体
に高速回転で接して記録および再生を行なっている磁気

が大きくなり走行性(すべり)が悪い方向にいっている
。これを改善するために、磁気記録媒体の表面に滑性の
良い材料や防錆剤を塗布して走行性や耐食性を良くして
いるが、磁気ヘッドと磁気記録媒体との接触に対しての
磁気ヘッド目づまり(電磁変換特性の劣化、すなわちス
ペーシングロスに伴う出力の低下または出力が瞬時もし
くは長時間にわたって欠落する現象を言う)の要因とな
り、また塵埃などの汚れなども加えられて致命的な欠陥
となる。壕だ、磁気ヘッド目づまシはもちろんヘッドの
表面性、形状等にも大いに関係している。しだがって、
磁気記録媒体もビデオ磁気ヘッドも、より一層ヘッド目

交する方向に形成した凹溝で、凹溝11は、磁気記録媒
体5が磁気ヘッドコア3に接し始める位置10よりもギ
ャップ2に近い場所に形成され、凹溝21は、磁気記録
媒体5が磁気へラドコア4から降れ始める位置よりもギ
ャップ2に近い場所に形成されている。その構成は第1
