Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to efficiently prepare a bellows rubber hose having no parting line to the outer peripheral surface thereof, by externally inlaying a rubber hose to the outer periphery of a mandrel which has a bellows shaped hollow part and has a large number of comminucation orifices formed to the outer periphery thereof while making the internal pressure of the hollow part lower than external pressure under a vulcanization condition. CONSTITUTION:After an unvulcanized rubber hose 2 having a real cylindrical shape is fitted around a mandrel 6, both ends of the hose 12 are sealed. In the next step, the whole is received in a vulcanization boiler to be heated to a predetermined temp. and, at the same time, the atmospheric pressure in the hollow part 7 of the mandrel 6 is made lower than that of the outside. When the internal atmospheric pressure of the hollow part 7 is made lower than that of the outside, the atmospheric pressure between the hose 12 and the mandrel 6 is lowered through the orifices 11 of the mandrel and the hose 12 is molded along the bellows part 10 of the mandrel 6 by pressure difference and plasticized and stabilized by a vulcanization condition. In the next step, when air is introduced into the molded bellows rubber hose 14 from a plug 8 after vulcanization, the hose 14 is inflated and, therefore, if bands 13, 13 are loosen to draw the hose 14 to one direction, the hose 14 is easily detached. By this method, a rubber hose having no parting line can be prepared.
