    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. ピストンの頂部に開放室型の燃焼室窪みを有し、燃料噴
    射ノズルより前記燃焼室窪みの側周壁へ向けて燃料を噴
    射される直接噴射式内燃機関に於て、前記側周壁のうち
    前記燃料噴射ノズルよりの燃料を直接噴き付けられる領
    域に対応する前記燃焼室窪みの開口縁部にのみ該燃焼室
    窪みの内方へ向けて膨出したオーバハング部を有してい
    る直接噴射式内燃機関の燃焼室構造。
