CONSTITUTION:The temperature of the feed water is detected by a temp. sensor 6 provided at the lower part of a hot water storage tank 1 and the amount of heat to be stored as hot water until the termination of the midnight power supply time is calculated by a calorific value operating means 7. Then the power supply time required for the heat generating body 2 to obtain the amount of heat calculated by the calorific value operating means 7 is calculated, a lapse of time is so judged as to obtain the calculated required power supply time 8 at the time of termination of the midnight power supply time and the supply of power to the heat generating body 2 is started by the operation of a power supply start control means 9. At the same time, the heating temperature is operated by a heating temperature operating means 10 on the base of the calculated amount of heat to thereby calculate the temperature of hot water to be heated up, and when the temperature of the hot water is judged to have reached the detecting value of the temp. sensor 6, the supply of power to the heat generating body 2 is stopped by the operation of a power supply cut control means 11.
