周面のうち燃焼室側部分にリング全周にわたって環状切
欠部が形成されるとともにこの環状切欠部に溶射層が埋
込まれ、この溶射層の表面が上記ボアに摺接する溶射ピ
ストンリングにおいて、上記環状切欠部の深さを、クラ
ンク室に近い部分で最も深く、かつ燃焼室側へ向うほど
浅くして、上記溶射層が上記リング溝の燃焼室側壁面に
当接しないよう構成したことを特徴とする溶射ピストン
