Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the flocculation and deviation of titanium oxide particles in respective cells and over the entire part of a panel by the flow and agitation of a liquid and to obtain a stable electrophoresis display element having a larger area by dividing the injecting part of a liquid dispersion system to many cells of sub-sections. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive polyimide precursor 6 is coated on glass substrate 1 having an electrode 2 consisting of a transparent conductive film in such a way as to be coated at 16mum after drying and is dried. A mask 8 is then superposed thereon an UV light is irradiated thereto. The coating is subjected to developing and rinsing to form a pattern. The pattern is subjected to dehydration and curing to form a pattern of polyimide having 10mum thickness. A dispersion system prepd. by adding titanium oxide and nonionic surface active agent to a soln. prepd. by dissolving a blue paint to m-xylene and is filtered is dropped at an adequate amt. on the substrate 1 and another sheet of a glass substrate 1 having a transparent electrode 2 is superposed thereon in such a way that the dispersion system enters the entire cell by preventing the incorporation of foams. The circumference is stuck by an epoxy adhesive agent. The flocculation and deviation of the titanium oxide are thus prevented and the panel which operates stably and has a large area is obtd.
