Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the starting torque and the speed response by reducing the output of an inverter when a main circuit current becomes overcurrent. CONSTITUTION:A main circuit current of a motor 3 is detected as a voltage signal of a current detector 14. An overcurrent setter 15 outputs a voltage signal proportional to the main circuit current value to protect the motor 3 as an overcurrent. A voltage comparator 16 outputs an overcurrent detection signal when the main circuit current value of the motor 3 becomes the overcurrent set value or higher. A clamping circuit 17 lowers the reference of the output voltage of an inverter 2 outputted from a voltage reference amplifier 10 to reduce the output voltage of the inverter 2 when the overcurrent detection signal is inputted.
