Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate insulation easily and improve the manufacturing accuracy of the whole coil by a method wherein prepreg is placed between turns when a coil conductor is wound and after the winding is completed the coil is pressed and fixed and treated by heat and then two coiled conductors are insulated and fixed by prepreg placed between them. CONSTITUTION:Prepreg 52, cut to fit the shape of the side of a hollow conductor 51, is prepared and put on one side of the hollow conductor 51, which is wound spirally in such a manner that the prepreg comes to the lapped side of the conductor 51. With this method, a single-pancake coil 53, whose circumference side is not insulated, is obtained. Before a double-pancake coil is made by piling two single-pancake coils 53 concentrically, prepareg sheet, cut to fit the shape of the piled surface of the single-pancake coil 53, is put on the piled surface. After that the pancake coils 53 are piled so that the two coils are insulated by prepreg.
