Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce a leakage amount of oil from a cam ring of a vane pump, by installing a partition vane bisecting a space between a pump housing and the cam ring so as to be divided into two parts, namely, at the suction and discharge sides both, while interconnecting one side to the discharge part but the other side to the suction part, respectively. CONSTITUTION:Each of partition vanes 22a and 22b bisecting an inner hole 23 between a pump housing and a cam ring 4 in order to correspond to a suction part and a discharge part between the cam ring 4 and a rotor 6 is installed in the cam ring 4, then the said inner hole 23 is formed in both of a low pressure chamber 24 and a high pressure chamber 25 respectively, and each of them is interconnected to a suction port 9 and a discharge port 11 through each of interconnecting passages 26 and 27. Since differential pressure inside and outside the cam ring 4 is decreased, a leakage amount of high pressure fluid acting on the outer circumference of the cam ring 4 into its inner circumference is reduced, thus pump efficiency is improved.
