Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize an image forming device which is constituted easily at low cost and has a space-saving feed time measuring means, by providing the feed time measuring means to at least one of plural image forming means. CONSTITUTION:The collector of a transistor TR1 is connected to the series circuit of resistances R2 and R1 and a feed time meter 18, and its base is connected to an output port -01 of a CPU. While the TR1 is off, voltages developed at both terminals of the feed time meter 18 are both positive and no potential difference is applied between both electrodes. On the other hand, when the TR1 turns on, a current flows to the feed time meter 18 through the resistance 1 and the feed time meter 18 measures the time when the TR1 is on. Thus, the image forming device which is constituted easily at low cost and has the space-saving feed time measuring means is realized.

BACKGROUND ART Conventionally, there is a method of detecting the replacement cycle or lifespan of a unit such as an image forming apparatus by integrating the time during which power is supplied to the apparatus. However, there are cases where it is difficult to directly measure the operating time of the unit, such as deterioration of the photosensitive layer of the photosensitive drum, or where the deterioration of unit performance cannot necessarily be evaluated based on the power supply time alone, such as toner stains on the charger wire. However, it has been difficult to accurately grasp the state of the image forming apparatus.

Therefore, there has been a proposal to control the state of the image forming apparatus based on the number of sheets printed. For example, a method is particularly conceivable in which the apparatus is equipped with an electromagnetic counter that increments in accordance with the number of printed sheets, and by checking the cumulative count value of the counter, the time to replace each unit can be determined.

However, in the above method, since the electromagnetic counter is expensive and large, especially in a small and low-cost device, the function L of the device itself may be limited due to space or cost considerations. :The current situation is that we are choosing not to use such an additional circuit, which has no relation to the above.

Based on the above, the actual situation is that parts that require replacement are serviced after a certain period of time has passed from the time of installation, regardless of whether replacement is necessary or not. This method has the disadvantage that it is not possible to accurately grasp the condition easily, inexpensively, and on a small scale basis.

Purpose In view of the above points, it is an object of the present invention to eliminate the above-mentioned deficiencies, and to provide an image forming apparatus having an energization time measuring means that is inexpensive, easy to configure, and space-saving. .

When the leading edge of the paper 1 reaches the registration shutter 5, the conveyance of the paper 1 is stopped by the registration shutter 5, and the paper feed rollers 4 and 4' slip and rotate by generating conveyance torque. Continue to do so. In this case, by driving the registration solenoid 6 and releasing the registration shutter upward, the paper 1 is conveyed to the transport row 27.7'. The registration shutter is driven at a constant timing with the image printed on the photosensitive drum. after that,
A conveying torque is obtained by the conveying rollers 7, 7', a fixing roller 8.8' is obtained, and the sheet is discharged onto the sheet discharging tray 10 by the sheet discharging rollers 9, 9'.

The possible integrating time meters can be roughly classified into the following two types. The first type is a type in which a small synchronous motor is driven according to the energization time, and the total number of rotations of the motor is displayed on a rotary counter. An electrolytic solution is sealed, an electrode with a length according to the scale is provided at both ends or one end, and when electricity is applied to this, electrolysis occurs, and the length of the electrode decreases in proportion to the amount of electricity applied. This is a type that displays the accumulated energization time by the reduced length of the electrode.

The latter is particularly advantageous because it can be driven by DC voltage, has a simple and inexpensive structure, and can easily change the clock time simply by changing the magnitude of the current. Suitable for cases where

In the above structure, the operating principle will be briefly explained as follows.
1 is + (plus) between electrode 1 and electrode 2, electric iK
When applying a DC voltage so that 2 becomes - (minus),
Through the electrolytic solution and Q, mercury is electrolytically deposited from the + (124 rule) to the - (minus) side, and the mercury on the 2nd side of the electrode increases by the amount of mercury on the 1st side of the electrode. As a result, electrolyte 1. This means that the portion Q has moved toward the electrode 1, that is, toward the + (plus) side by the amount that the mercury has moved. In this case, the moving amount of mercury, that is, the moving distance of the electrolytic solution LQ portion is proportional to the amount of current flowing, so if the flowing current is kept constant, the cumulative energizing time can be determined from the moving distance.

In this case, the internal resistance of the energization time meter is approximately 1Ω. In addition, the above-mentioned energizing time meter is driven with a very small current of 0.5 .mu.A to 10 .mu.A, since passing an excessive current will interfere with the electric chopsticks and damage the amount of energization. For example, when the current is applied to 0.5μ, the full scale of the scale is 10,000 hours, and when the current is applied to 10μ, the full scale is 500 hours.

T R1 is a transistor whose collector is resistor R2
It is connected to the series circuit of the resistor R1 and the time meter 18, and its base is connected to the output port 0 of the CPU.
Connected to 1. Here, when TFL1 is not conductive, the voltages at both ends of the energization time meter 18 are both positive, and no potential difference is applied between the two electrodes. - When TR1 becomes conductive, the collector of T41 goes to the GND level, so the energization time meter 18 is connected to the resistor R1 through the resistor R1.

In particular, the output capacitor 01 is initialized to the off state in this routine, and as a result, the drive of the resist solenoid B is turned off, and the transistor TIt1 that drives the energization time meter 18 is also turned off, so that the energization time meter 1 is turned off.
8 is initialized to a state where no timekeeping is performed. B is a main processing routine that controls various operations including printing operations, and particularly includes a routine B1 shown in FIG. 2 (2). When a print operation is performed in the main processing routine, as explained above, the registration shutter, which opens to feed paper in synchronization with the image printed on the photosensitive drum 11, opens every time a sheet is fed. Once closed, the leading edge of the next paper page is aligned.
