Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable reconstruction of a high quality image with limited noise by collecting data parallel along the length of a long and thin hole of a slat collimator. CONSTITUTION:A slat collimator 2 of a camera detector 1 is rotated with a rotation driver 3 and according to position signals (x) and (y) and an angle signal theta sampled, an image rotary device 4 outputs an X direction position signal (x) at the right angle to the long hole of the collimator 2 in addition to a position signal in the Y direction parallel to the long hole of the collimator 2 and the angle signal theta. A memory 5 is accessed with these three-dimensional data and a reconstructed image is indicated on a CRT display unit 7 through a sinogram preparation device 8, an image reconstruction computing unit 9 and the like. The reconstruction of an image using a Y direction data with a slat collimator having a resolution in the Y direction enables the reconstruction of a high quality image with limited noises without accentuating noise in the image due to a statistical changes eliminating the need for enhancing harmonic components. This improves the spatial resolution of the image.
