Abstract

PURPOSE:To regulate the injecting amount of the unit injector simply with an electric mechanism by a method wherein a pulse motor is accommodated in a space around the outer periphery of the injection plunger of the unit injector to control it in accordance with the operating condition of an engine. CONSTITUTION:The unit injector 1 is equipped with a follower 2, the injection plunger 3 and a nozzle unit 4. In this case, a rotor, equipped with a multitude of outer teeth 10, is provided around the outer periphery of the injection plunger 3 while a stator 13, equipped with a multitude of inner teeth 12, is provided at the outer periphery of the rotor 11. A coil 14 is arranged near the stator 13 and the signal of a controller 15, being provided with an input information 16 providing the operating condition of the engine, is inputted into the coil 14. When the signal from the controller 15 is given to the coil 14 of the pulse motor, the rotor 11 rotates by a predetermined rotating angle. Then, the injection plunger 3 rotates and the feeding amount of fuel in a pump chamber 7 may be regulated in accordance with the different strokes of the plunger 3.

回動させることによって可変としたユニットインジェク
タにおいて、噴射プシンジャの外周に多数の外歯を有す
るロータを設け、該ロータの外周に多数の内歯を有する
ステータを設け、ステータの近傍にコイルを設けてユニ
ットインジェクタの噴射プランジャ外周にパルスモータ
を内蔵設置し、該パルスモータをエンジンの運転状況を
検知して信号を発するコントローラによシ制御すること
を特徴とするユニットインジェクタの調量装置。
