Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform accurate positioning by controlling the inclination of an optical parallel provided between a light source device and a beam splitter so that laser light strikes a position photodetector in its center, i.e. travels in the center of a reference point. CONSTITUTION:The light source device 5 equipped with an automatic verticality compensating mechanism emits laser light L of reference of measurement vertically. The optical parallel 6 is supported by a gimbals 7 and slanted by turning off a screw 8 by a motor 9. The other terminal of the gimbals 7 is supported by a spring 10. Laser light passed through the optical parallel 6 is branched in two directions of reflection and transmission by a beam splitter cube 11. The position photodetector 12 is so fitted that a mirror image position as to the reflecting surface of the beam splitter cube 11 coincides with a vertical reference point A, i.e. center of a CR guide tube hole 13.
