Generally, when changing a subscriber's telephone from a rotary dial telephone to a push-button dial telephone, the telephone office must perform internal work to translate the subscriber's accommodation location from the subscriber number (NG (number group)). Regarding this, it is necessary to carry out work to change the connection of the accommodation terminal position t from the old position to the new position (this is called accommodation change). Also, when changing the telephone number of a subscriber's telephone (this is called number change), the station must reconnect the housing position corresponding to the subscriber number as part of the number change work on the station side. .

Here, it is assumed that the distribution board 2 and the exchange 3 belong to an unmanned station, so the exchange 3 is further connected to the master station. When replacing the accommodation, the terminal side will need to perform work (in-house construction) to replace terminal 1 with IA, and the unmanned station side will replace the old accommodation position (A, B) in exchange 3.
It is necessary to switch over the telephone line from C to the new storage location ■, and construction work on the track side is also required.

For this reason, conventionally, in order to minimize the time during which calls were unavailable on the terminal side, it was necessary to carry out on-site construction and in-office construction at the same time, and to complete the accommodation change within a short period of time. It was necessary to coordinate schedules for station staff to go to the unmanned station and work there, and such adjustments were time-consuming, making it impossible to carry out accommodation changes efficiently. Similarly, when it comes to number change work, subscribers have to go to an unmanned station and carry out the work inside the station on a date and time requested by the subscriber, so there is a similar drawback.

1) A subscriber line switching device used when switching the line accommodating position from the old position to a new position in an exchange accommodating a terminal, which is used to switch the line accommodating position from the terminal to the old accommodating position of the exchange during the switching. After disconnecting the old line leading to and connecting the folded line between the terminal and the new housing position via an open contact, connect the first line taken out from the old housing position side of the disconnected old line and the contact point. The second one taken out from the terminal side of
, the third line taken out from the new accommodation position side of the contact point, and the fourth line taken out from the connection point by connecting the control lines at both the old and new accommodation positions to each other, respectively. In addition to having respective input terminals, it also has first and second detection circuits that respectively detect incoming signals and switching signals sent from the exchange side via the third line, and is normally connected to the first line. When a second line is connected to the first line and an incoming signal is detected by the first detection circuit, the second line is disconnected from the first line and connected to the third line. The connection between the second line and the third line is self-maintained using a specific signal that is connected and sent from the fourth line along with the incoming signal, and by canceling the specific signal. Let go of self-retention,
Further, when a switching signal is detected by the second detection circuit, the respective input terminals are connected or disconnected so as to connect and maintain the connection between the second line and the third line.
