Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain an electric leak detecting apparatus of small size and light weight without a need of using leak breakers by a construction wherein an external outgoing coil in a power on/off switch is excited with a leak current passing through a O-phase current transformer provided in a housing into which coated electric wires are inserted. CONSTITUTION:A O-phase current transformer 6a is provided in a housing of an electric leak detector 6 into which are inserted a pair of coated electric wires 5. When an electric leak is detected through the current transformer 6a, such a current flows into an external outgoing coil 4K in a power on/off switch 4 via an amplification circuit 6b and a switching circuit 6c, so that the switch 4 is turned off and circuit breaking due to an electric leak is effected. Thus, if becomes possible to attain an electric leak detecting apparatus of light weight and small size without a need of using leak breakers.
