[Detailed description of the invention] The present invention relates to a gold and silver thread in which countless scattered pieces each emit diamond-like light, and is particularly suitable for use in fabrics such as obi fabrics. It is.

Synthetic resin films that exhibit red light coloring have been well known, and the manufacturing method involves, for example, forming thin grooves at equal intervals on a smooth surface of metal, glass, etc. at 300 to 15 grooves per mm.
It is produced by pressing a synthetic resin film onto the surface of a diffraction grating in which about 0.00 lines are carved, transferring it, and then depositing a thin film of metal such as aluminum or silver on the surface.

Such a diffraction grating film can be cut into thin widths and formed into yarn for textiles, or it can be cut into fine squares, rectangles, etc. and made into glitter. It is also used as a decorative label when mixed with adhesive.

However, in the former case, the base film must be thick when manufacturing the diffraction grating film, otherwise it cannot be used as textile yarn, which increases the manufacturing cost. Also, the diffraction grating film inevitably has a uniform appearance due to its manufacturing process. The patterns are regular, so even if the film is cut into thin strips, various shades of red will simply appear one after the other, giving off a strikingly monotonous glow.

Furthermore, in the latter case, like the former case, the base film is required to be thick, making it expensive to manufacture, and since it is made into an adhesive film, only one side can be used, which limits the scope of its application.

The present invention corrects the above-mentioned conventional deficiencies, and at the same time, the diffraction grating film itself is not cut into thin strips and made into strings as in the conventional method, but the diffraction grating film is spangled, that is, into rectangular shapes such as squares and rectangles. This method uses finely cut small pieces and scatters them on a separate base film in countless numbers to provide a new gold and silver thread that emits diamond brilliance on both sides. A planar glitter piece 2 having at least a length and width is formed on one side of a synthetic resin film 1 by using a transparent adhesive 3, and a transparent synthetic resin film 4 is further formed on the surface thereof. The invention relates to a radiant gold and silver thread characterized by cutting a sheet A formed thereon into narrow widths.

A synthetic resin film is pressed onto the diffraction grating surface on which approximately 300 to 1,500 lines are carved, and the diffraction grating is transferred thereto. The diffraction grating film, in which a thin film of metal such as aluminum is vapor-deposited on the surface, is cut into fine planar shapes. The thickness is, for example, 18 to 54μ, and the size is, for example, 0.33 to 9.

Gritter pieces obtained by cutting a diffraction grating film plated at 250 to 400 A into fine planar shapes are kneaded with adhesive and applied to the film by roll coating. In this state, numerous pieces of glitter are formed relatively densely and dried at 120 to 140°C, and a transparent polyester film having a thickness of 12 μm is laminated on the surface thereof, or a transparent polyester film having a thickness of 12 μm is laminated on the surface thereof, or One side of a transparent polyester film with a thickness of 12 μm is coated with 3 to 5 g/m20 of adhesive, and after initial drying at 120 to 140° C., glitter pieces are sprinkled thereon, and the other side coated with a similar adhesive with a thickness of 12 μm is coated with adhesive.
Sheet A is produced by laminating a transparent polyester film of .mu. to one side of the glitter with the adhesive on the inner surface.

Then, the sheet A can be cut into thin pieces using a micro slitter or the like to form a flat thread 5 with a diamond-like glitter effect on both the front and back sides, or it can be twisted or woven together with other fibers of nylon, acetate, etc. It is used as a twist.

Further, it is preferable that the glitter pieces have a thickness of 18 to 54 microns, but the thicker the pieces, the easier it is to line them up in parallel, so the thickness of 30 to 54 microns is preferable.

According to the present invention, both the front and back sides are made of transparent synthetic resin films, and between the two films, countless pieces of glitter of a diffraction grating film kneaded with an adhesive are formed, or an adhesive is applied in advance. Because it is a glittering gold and silver thread formed by scattering countless pieces of glitter on the film, it has a unique diamond-like shine on both sides due to each piece of glitter, giving it an elegant and novel texture that is not seen in conventional threads. If this is twisted into flat threads or taski twists and woven into obi fabrics, kimono, etc., it is possible to produce a woven pattern with a diamond-like shine.
