CONSTITUTION:When solid fuel charged onto a moving grate 4 in a combustion chamber are burnt and decreased in a weight, a stopper shaft 7 locked by a stopper 6 is forced up by the moving grate 4 slanting upward through energization of a spring 2, and as a result, the solid fuels placed in succession on an inclining feed platform 8 are dropped in order onto the moving grate 4 in a combustion chamber. When an appropriate quantity of the solid fuels are charged and the weight thereof exceeds the energizing force of the spring 2, the moving grate is brought to a horizontal state, and the stopper 6 is lowered together with the stopper shaft to prevent the solid fuels from dropping in a feed port 5 and lock them. This simplifies a structure and eliminates the need for an electric power, and an automatic fuel feeder, being easily adjustable, is obtainable merely through shifting of the mounting position of the spring.
