Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a high-resolution and low-cost variable value controller, by providing an N-speed absolute encoder and a deviation operator which stops temporarily the update of the command position under a prescribed condition. CONSTITUTION:The controlled variable of a control object 7 is detected through a gear box 8 having a gear ratio N by an N-speed absolute encoder 9. This detected controlled variable is converted to a current position through a current value calculator 10 and is supplied to a deviation calculator 11. The calculator 11 uses the command value from a command value operator 3 as the command position to perform the initialization of command position=current position at a start time. After the start, the command value is added to the command position to obtain a new command position. When the deviation between the command position and the current position exceeds a set value which is deviation quantity for the start of stepout, the addition of the command value is stopped temporarily not to update the command position. Thus, a high-resolution and low-cost variable value controlled is obtained.
