Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect the forgery of card surely, by recording a picture obtained with scanning of signature and portrait formed on an identification card on a magnetic recording medium, and comparing a magnetically recorded signal with the signature and portrait in using the card. 記画像をスキャニングするとともに前記磁気記録帯を再
生し、このスキャニングにより得られる画像信号と前記
磁気記録帯を再生することにより得られる画像信号とを
比較することにより前記画像の偽造の有無を検出するも
のである。

照射位置を調整し、然る後証明カード1を光学系に対し
て相対的に移動させることにより受光素子12からは第
3図(ロ)に示されるような署名5及び顔写真3の濃度
の差による反射光の強弱に基づ(画像信号が出力される
。署名5に対しては中間調がないので白又は黒で出力さ
れるが、顔写真6の部分は階調を有する信号となるので
例えばコンパレータレベル16が設定されたコンパレー
タ(図示せず−)通して白又は黒の2値の信号となしく
第3図(ハ))、この信号から抽出される黒の本数を画
像信号として磁気記録帯2に記録する。

び顔写真3をスキャニングし、さらに同様の信号処理を
施して画像信号を得る。同時に、この証明カード1の磁
気記録帯2を再生することでカード発行時に記録された
画像信号をとり出す。
