PURPOSE:To make it possible to introduce a sheet to be transferred between a sheet aligning and feeding roller and a pinching means while they are stationary, so that the introduction of a sheet is simplified, by arranging the pinching means on the sheet aligning and feeding roller, vetically movable. CONSTITUTION:A sheet which is inserted through a sheet introducing and guiding passage 22, is forced through between a sheet aligning and feeding roller 23 and a ball 24, which is detected by a sheet detector 25.
