Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent leakage of gas, by disposing a discharge valve and a roller retainer plate in the form of a thin plate and formed with a discharge port between a cylinder and an upper or lower bearing, and urging the retainer plate onto the upper or lower end face of a roller by applying the discharg-side pressure to the back surface of the retainer plate and the discharge valve. CONSTITUTION:Since the high-pressure gas on the discharge side is always present in a discharge passage port 22-1 and a pressurizing groove 23-1, a roller retainer plate 17 causes deformation by the force due to the difference between the suction pressure and the discharge pressure acted to the back surface of the retainer plate 17 and urges the lower end face of a roller 8 upward. Further, since the portion of the retainer plate 17 facing a compression chamber 9 also causes deformation by the force due the differential pessure until pressure in the compression chamber 9 is raised to the discharge pressure, the lower end face of the roller 8 is urged upward by the retainer plate 17. Resultantly, clearances at the upper and the lower end faces of the roller 8 is reduced and leakage of gas from the inside of the roller 8 to a suction chamber 10 and the compression chamber 9 is also reduced. Therefore, it is enabled to increase the volumetric efficiency of the compressor and to reduce the power required for compression of gas.
