Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce a phase error to output a sampling pulse less in jitter, by obtaining the sampling pulse in the half of the output cycle of a PLL and the sampling pulse in one output cycle of the PLL. CONSTITUTION:A signal S1 having a frequency fSC is generated by a PLL21 and is applied to the first 5-stage ring counter circuit 22, and the first sampling pulse SP1 is outputted from the first sampling pulse output circuit 23 by the output of the circuit 22. The signal S1 is applied through an inverter circuit 25 to the second 5-stage ring counter circuit 24 which is operated synchronously with the circuit 22, and the second sampling pulse SP2 is outputted from the second sampling pulse output circuit 26 by the output of the circuit 24. The phase difference between outputs of circuits 22 and 24 is detected by a discriminating circuit 29, and a sampling pulse switching circuit 27 is controlled by this phase difference to output the pulse SP2 in the half cycle of the PLL21 and the pulse SP2 in one cycle of the PLL21.
