PURPOSE:To enable reserved banknotes to be simply taken out, by disposing, in addition to a rotary body for winding up and reserving banknotes togehter with a guide member, a rotary body for winding up the guide member while unwinding the latter from the first-mentioned rotary body. CONSTITUTION:A reserving device comprises two rotary bodies 11, 12 and a guide member 13 wound around these rotary bodies 11, 12. The rotary body 12 is rotated counterclockwise by means of a motor 15 for reserving a banknote P. Then, the guide member 13 is wound up onto the rotary body 12 so that one end of the banknote P led into a guide path 2 is forwarded to the wind-up position 18 of the guide member 13, and therefore, the banknote P is wound up onto a wind-up part 12a together with the guide member 13.
