Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the total costs required for rolling while assuring the quality of rolled products and rolling performance by setting the target temp. on the outlet side of finish rolling, the target thickness on the outlet side of rough rolling, and the target discharge temps. by using the chemical components and required finishing sizes of materials to be rolled. CONSTITUTION:In accordance with the chemical components of individual materials to be rolled, the target outlet temps. of finishing mill groups of said materials are set. The target outlet thicknesses of the roughing mill group determined by ordinary methods using said temps. and the required finishing sizes of the materials to be rolled, and said thicknesses are set tentatively. The target discharging temps. of the individual materials to be rolled in a heating furnace are set by using said thicknesses and the above-described outlet temps. Further, according to the actual discharging temps. of the individual materials to be rolled, the tentatively set target outlet thicknesses of the roughing mill groups are corrected and set.
