Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform desired air conditioning and waste heat regeneration by providing an expansion unit rotated by means of the compression type refrigerating cycle and the absorption type refrigerating cycle utilizing the waste heat of an engine and the expansion of the refrigerant and by properly operating these in accordance with the car operation status and peripheral environment, etc. CONSTITUTION:In case only the power regeneration is to be performed, the refrigerant steam of a high temperature and high pressure generated in an engine jacket 1 is introduced into an expansion unit 15 through a transfer valve 34 to rotate it and is made to a low temperature and low pressure then is sent into an absorption unit 9 through a transfer valve 35. The solution with its density made thick by absorbing the refrigerant in the absorption unit 9 is again sent to the engine 1 to be heated, and the absorption and compression refrigerating cycles are to be operated, the refrigerant steam of a high temperature and high pressure generated in the engine jacket 1 and the refrigerant of the same status compressed in the compressor 3 and joined together in a passage 21 and is sent to a condenser 5 to be cooled and liquefied, and after exerting the refrigerating effect through an expansion valve 6 and evaporator 7, it is branched at a passage 23 into a portion fed back to the jacket through the absorption unit 9 and a portion fed back to the compressor 3.
