Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the use efficiency of the system, by providing plural tokens in the communication system and setting priority to the tokens. CONSTITUTION:When the system is started, only a master station 3 has a token. If the master station 3 has information to be transmitted, a token of low priority is transmitted with an ajacent slave terminal station 7 as a transmission destination and its own station name 3 as an originating source 33. When the terminal station 7 has no information to be transmitted, a slave terminal station 11 is set to the transmission destination and the terminal station 7 is set to the originating source 33 to transmit the token. Hereafter, the token is transferred on the transmission line similarly. If the master station 3 has no information to be transmitted, a token of high priority is transmitted; and in this case, the ring communication line is used divisionally from the master station 3 to a terminal station 11 and from a terminal station 19 to a terminal station 23 in respect to space, and thus, the transmission efficiency of the system is improved.
