Abstract

PURPOSE:To measure the quantity of lubricating oil precisely in a short time by detecting differential pressure of gas phases in containers wherein a sample refrigerant containing oil and a pure refrigerant are contained. CONSTITUTION:In a sample container 11a and a container 11 which are both evacuated, a sample refrigerant and a pure refrigerant are collected, and they are connected to piping 16 through pipe couplings 17. With valves 12 and 12a closed, valves 13 and 14 are opened, evacuating the piping 16. Then, the valves 13 and 14 are closed and the valves 12 and 12a are opened to measure differential pressure by a differential pressure detector. From the measured value of characteristics between the quantity of lubricating oil and vapor pressure, the quantity of lubricating oil is measured in a short time and with high precision.
