Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide proper half-clutch control to loosen shock during speed change while reducing slip of the clutch by varying the clutch current amount and energizing time corresponding to negative pressure in an intake pipe.
CONSTITUTION: Speed change signals (a) change into low level ones only in the speed change wherein a shift lever is operated. Accelerator signals (b) change into low level ones when an accelerator pedal is lightly depressed to speed up slightly rotation of an engine. Acceleration signals (c) change from high level to low level ones when the accelerator pedal is depressed to reduce intake negative pressure. Vehicle speed signals (d) change into high level ones when the vehicle speed exceeds a predetermined value. Clutch current IC is controlled by the combination of these input signals (a), (b), (c) and (d) correspondingly to travelling speed and speed change situation of the vehicle so that shock to the vehicle in deceleration is loosened and slip of the clutch is reduced in rapid acceleration.
