Abstract

PURPOSE:To effectively reduce a NOx gas by respectively disposing control valves in an exhaust gas bypass passage, a suction bypass passage and an exhaust recirculation passage and detecting a load on the bases of an engine speed and an opening of a control lever of a injection pump. CONSTITUTION:An engine 21 is equipped with a supercharger 24 which contains a compressor 25 and a turbine 26. Control valves 27a, 27b are disposed in a suction bypass passage 22a and an exhaust gas bypass passage 23a, respectively. Another control valve 33 is disposed in an exhaust gas recirculation passage 32. An intake air throttle valve 37 coincides with a control lever of an injection pump. A load detector consists of a detector 43 for an opening of the control level, a detector 44 for an engine speed and a comparator 45. Neither of an exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) and a supercharging are performed at a driving of a cold engine, only the EGR is done in a low or intermediate speed driving and only the supercharging is done in a high load driving. A noxious gas may be effecitively reduced.
