Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain sound pressure frequency flat to high frequencies, by providing a damping member at a largest amplitude of asymmetrical mode having three nodes produced on a rectangular flat diaphragm plate constituting a speaker driven at two points with two coil bobbins. CONSTITUTION:Yokes 1, 1' having center poles 2, 2' on a frame 5 are provided with an interval, ring magnets 3, 3' are inserted around the poles 2, 2', ring plates 4, 4' are fixed on them to produce magnetic gap between them and the poles 2, 2'. On the plates 4, 4', ring shape dampers 10, 10' are arranged, and while coil bobbins 8, 8' having voice coils 9, 9' provided at lower surface are inserted to the hole of the dampers 10, 10', a rectangular flat diaphragm plate 6 is fixed on the base 5 by using an edge member 7. With this constitution, a damping member 11 is bonded by selecting a part having maximum amplitude caused by asymmetrical drive to the rear face of the diaphragm plate 6.
