Abstract
PURPOSE: To control the velocity of explosion and suppress the formation of an intermetallic compound and an excessive alloy layer by making the quantity of explosives more on the initiation point side and less on the end point side.
CONSTITUTION: The quantity of distribution of explosives 2 may be changed linearly, curvedly or stepwise and is properly changed according to the quantity of explosives, the quality of explosives, and the metallic materials to be clad. When the explosives are exploded by igniting a detonator 1, an inside pipe 3 and outside pipe 4 collide at high velocity and stick by pressure. Since the quantity of distribution of the explosives 2 is made more on the initiation point side and less on the end point side, an increase in the velocity of explosion higher than required on the end point side does not occur. Therefore, the formation of an intermetallic compound and an excessive alloy layer is suppressed, and the metal clad body of high press sticking strength and good plastic workability is obtained.
