Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the captioned heat accumulating material which can be used as a comparatively low temperature heat source or a heat disposing means by producing the material from an ester compound obtained by reacting lauric acid and ethylene glycol or the like.
CONSTITUTION: The heat accumulating material is produced by a chemical compound expressed by the general formula(I), that is, an ester or diester produced by reacting carbonic acid of 12W18 in carbon number, such as lauric acid, myristic acid, stearic acid, palmitin acid and the like with ethylene glycol or diethylene glycol. Thus, it is possible to obtain easily and at low cost the heat accumulating material which has a comparatively low melting point and which generates sufficient heat of fusion.
