Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a method of the electrically crosslinking bonding of vulcanized rubber materials, wherein intermediate layers of a thermocrosslinkable rubber composition are interposed between an electrically conductive vulcanized rubber material and the vulcanized rubber materials, and an electric voltage is applied to the electrically conductive vulcanized rubber material to heat itself thereby the crosslinking of the intermediate layer and the bonding of the vulcanized rubber materials to each other are simultaneously effected. CONSTITUTION:The intermediate layers, i.e. the heat crosslinkable rubber compositions C, C' are interposed between the vulcanized rubber material B at least one side of which is made electrically conductive and the vulcanized rubber materials A, A', and an electric voltage is applied to the electrically conductive vulcanized rubber material B to heat itself thereby the crosslinking of the intermediate layer as well as the electrically crosslinking bonding of the upper and lower vulcanized rubber materials A, A' together is simultaneously carried out. Preferably, the specific insulation resistance of the vulcanized rubber material that has been made electrically conductive is 10<4>OMEGA.cm or less at a temperature in the range of 0 to 200 deg.C, and the vulcanized rubber that has been made electrically conductive contains carbon black.
