Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent crevice corrosion by installing corrosion preventive sealing materials and a corrosion preventive rubber sealing material on the wetting side in the weld zone of stainless steel, and welding the weld zone while staking the stainless steel on the outer side of said corrosion preventive rubber sealing material.
CONSTITUTION: Corrosion preventive sealing materials 3A, B and a corrosion preventive rubber sealing material 4 are installled in the clearance 2 on the wetting side in the weld zone 1A of a pair of stainless steels 1, after which weld zone 1A is welded while the stainless steel part 1C on the outer side of the material 4 is staked. The materials 3A, B consist of a viscous polystyrene polymer contg. 20W60% fine particles of metallic zinc, and the material 4 consists of a rubbery material which is subjected to vulcanization by being added with 1W20% molybdate, 1W 30% fine particles of metallic zinc and 1W20% nitrate at the crosslinking of natural rubber or synthetic rubber without containing any fine particles of graphite.
