Abstract

PURPOSE:To measure a flow rate accurately even at the time of not full water by forming measuring passages of plural domain by a separator in a duct of a main body of a flowmeter and measuring the flow rate by providing an electrode on each measuring passage. CONSTITUTION:A separator 11 is provided in a duct of a flowmeter main body 10 along a flow direction of a fluid and a lining 12 is lined on the inner wall of the duct 10 and the face part of the separator 11 using an electric insulating material and then, a lower layer domain A and an upper layer domain B are formed. A pair of electrodes 13a, 13b are attached on each layer of the domain as measuring passage so as to be observed in the duct from the lining 12. Further, an exciting coil 14 is attached outside of the duct 10 and an outer case 15 which is a core for formation of a magnetic passage, is set on the outermost part. Accordingly, a flow rate of the fluid is measured only in the domain A always by adjusting a cross sectional area to the state of full water at the time of not full water in the domain A. The flow rate is accurately measured always by using measuring passage of the domain B when the flow rate is increased over the limit measured by the domain A.
