Abstract

PURPOSE: To raise the volumetric and compressive efficiencies of a compressor, by preventing trasmission of heat to coolant gas in a compression space through the inner wall surface of the space.
CONSTITUTION: In a compressor 1, heat produced by mechanical friction at the bearing portions and sliding portions of a mechanical section B and heat of high- temperature lubricating oil are transmitted, via a cylinder 5, upper bearing 6 and lower bearing 7, to coolant gas introduced into an intake chamber 11 of a compression space and coolant gas being compressed in a compression chamber 12, so that the coolant gas is heated to some extent. However, according to the present invention, fluoroplastics 5B, 6B having a low heat conductivity is coated over the inner wall surface 5A, 6A of the compression space 8 for minimizing heating of the coolant gas. This also causes less increase in the specific volum of the coolant gas, rise of the volumetric efficiency, and increase in the amount of coolant gas circulated in the coolant cycle, so that the efficiency of heat transfer can be raised. Further,s ince transmission of heat to the coolant gas in the compression chamber 12 is reduced, pressure rise of the coolant gas is lowered and therefore its compressive efficiency can be increased.
