Abstract

NEW MATERIAL:A compound shown by the formula I (R is anisyl or lower alkoxycarbonylmethyl) and its acid addition salt.
EXAMPLE: Trans-4-guanidinomethylcyclohexanecarboxylic acid 4'-ethoxycarbonylmethyloxycarbonylphenyl ester hydrochloride.
USE: A protease inhibitor. Having improved inhibiting actions on a protease, e.g., trypsin, chymotrypsin, thrombin, urokinase, etc.
PROCESS: 4-Guanidinomethylcyclohexanecarboxylic acid or its reactive derivative (e.g., acid chloride, acid bromide, acid anhydride, etc.) is reacted with a compound shown by the formula II in a solvent, e.g., dimethylformamide, pyridine, etc. to give a compound shown by the formula I.
