Abstract
PURPOSE: The reaction is effected in the presence of a nonionic surfactant to accelerate the hydrolysis of the water-insoluble substrate.
CONSTITUTION: As a nonionic surfactant, is added a fatty acid polyhydric alcohol polyoxyethylene ester. This method is effective in the treatment of cellulose with cellulase, xylan with xylanase, starch with amylase or inuline with inulase.
