Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce electric charging time and improve electric current suppression effect by forming an electric charging circuit for a commutation capacitor of a flash circuit of a transistor, a diode, a resistance, etc. CONSTITUTION:An electric charging circuit 15 for a commutation capacitor 8 is formed of an NPN transistor 16, a diode 17 connected in antiparallel to this, a base resistance 18 of high impedance, etc. As this capacitor 8 discharges, a thyristor 5 is cut off to stop the light emission of a flash tube 3, after which the TR16 is cut off by the reversed polarity bias voltage of the diode 17, and the capacitor 8 is charged to a reversed polarity. Then, the impedance of the TR16 is lowered by the base current through a main capacitor 2, and the capacitor 8 is charged to the prescribed polarity in a short time. In the other hand, the electric current suppression to an auxiliary thyristor 6 is increased by a high impedance resistance 18 and despite the occurrence of a malfunction of the thyristor owing to noise or the like, it resets immediately to a turn off state and the continuous flash photography is accomplished satisfactorily.
